Mr. Vijay Pandey, Managing Director

Mr. Vijay Pandey a serial entrepreneur, is the Promoter and President of Bhartiya Harit Khadi Gramodaya Sansthan. With his vast experience in the microfinance sector, Mr. Pandey has successfully founded various companies. He is also the Founder and Managing Director of Bhartiya Micro Credit and promoter and director of Nimisha Finance India Pvt. Ltd. Having acquired degree in Commerce, Mr. Pandey started his career in microfinance with one of the pioneer MFIs of Asia, Cashpor Micro Credit (CMC). At Cashpor Micro Credit, he got an opportunity to understand the microfinance at ground level. He worked with CMC for three years at various responsible positions. He has also worked with one of the top MFIs in India named Sonata Finance Pvt. Ltd. at senior management level; he was managing the operations and was the head of the internal audit department.

Mr. Suman Saurabh, Secretary

Mr. Suman Saurabh is the Secretary of Bhartiya Harit Khadi Gramodaya Sansthan. He is also the CEO of Bhartiya Micro Credit and the promoter of Nimisha Finance Pvt. Ltd. He has several years of experience in strategy, due diligence, financial modeling and structuring, retail finance, corporate finance and capital markets in large corporates and in the financial services industry. He has worked with YTS Solutions (now Airtel Mcommerce) establishing their retail-lending business in Uttar Pradesh. Mr. Saurabh has also worked with Yes Bank as part of the inclusive finance team and IFMR Capital managing their North & East India microfinance portfolio. An Amul and NTSE scholar Mr. Saurabh has completed his MBA from Institute of Rural Management Anand.

Mr. Sukhendra Pratap Singh, Treasurer

Mr. Sukhendra is a senior advocate at High Court Lucknow bench and associated with many firms and institutions as a legal consultant, he is actively involved in social works and khadi promotions.

Mr. Abhishek Pathak, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Abhishek Pathak A textile designer by education, an entrepreneur by passion and fervent admirer of traditional arts and crafts, Mr. Abhishek Pathak has around seven years of professional experience including designing for home fashion, working with artisans, skilling rural communities, business development and exploring e-commerce as the market place for marginalised artisans. He has worked as Lead Business Development of Textile and Craft in Drishtee Foundation. He had also presented his research paper on ‘Significance of CSR Initiatives in Indian Handicrafts’ at UGC national level seminar. For Mr. Pathak, the design is a process of providing purpose to art and intention. He aims to empower artisan and rural communities so that they become self-sustainable and make a positive impact in society.

Ms. Tulika Jha, Chief Operating Officer

Ms. Tulika Jha having nearly seven year’s experience of Programme Management based on revenue sharing PPP model, Ms. Tulika Jha has an experience of skill training, monitoring, negotiating and fund-raising from MoU, NABARD and Urban development departments. She has an experience of three years of procurement management and negotiations skills in various health training programme in different locations sponsored by Care India. She has worked for government networking and resource mobilisation for backward linkage to forward linkages for Khadi, DDU-GKY, NSDC, MSME. She has worked extensively at grass root level in Haryana on women empowerment by creating employment through generating sustainable sources of livelihood under Disha Project sponsored and funded by UNDP.

Mr. Hanumant Rawat, Member

Mr. Hanumant Rawat has over 23 years of experience in development sector. He has been working with American India Foundation (AIF) for the last nine years and, at present, is the Senior Advisor, Livelihood, where his focus is on formulating new livelihood programs, relationship building with the government, banks and private sectors. Mr. Rawat has also worked in various leadership positions with ActionAid, Appropriate Technology India, MS Swaminathan Research Foundation, Institute of Rural Management Anand and CIVICUS, Johannesburg, South Africa. He has served on selection panels of Ashoka Fellows, Ford Foundation International Fellowships, National Skill Development Corporation’s monitoring and evaluation. Mr. Rawat holds a Masters Degree in Economics from London School of Economics.

Mr. Rakesh Das, Member

Mr. Rakesh Das has over 18 years of rich and insightful experience in inclusive finance, specialized in setting up the process, policies, and team to manage large financial operations spread across the new line of business and risk optimization for large portfolio management. Diverse exposure to various financial sectors cut across various business themes in Microfinance, SME lending, Affordable Housing Finance Business, Vehicle Finance, Agri-business Finance and Corporate lending business. He has a strong life-science background equipped to build the frameworks, which are essential to manage business growth, know and mitigate the risk of the business. He has more than nine years’ experience in direct leadership roles as organization head managing business, customers, and people work.
